The BeagleBone Blue, developed via a collaboration between the UCSD Coordinated Robotics Lab and BeagleBoard.org, is an all-in one credit-card-sized solution for small robotics systems combining all essential components for small robotics applications in the BeagleBone Black Wireless + the Robotics Cape into a convenient and small single-board solution, including:

  • 1GHz ARM Cortex-A8 with NEON floating-point accelerator, 512MB DDR3 RAM, 4GB 8-bit eMMC flash.

  • 2x PRU 32-bit microcontrollers, ARM Cortex M3.

  • 2-cell LiPo support with balancing and LED power gauge.

  • 9-18V charger input.  USB 2.0 client and host.

  • TI WiLink 8: Wifi 802.11bgn + Bluetooth 4.1 and BLE.

  • 4 DC motor & 8 servo outputs, 4 quadrature encoder inputs.

  • 9 axis IMU, barometer.

  • Easy connect JST interfaces for: I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, GPIOs, GPS, DSM2 radio, power, ADC.

  • User-programmable LEDs and buttons.

  • Debian Linux with C library for all hardware.  Compatable with: Python, ROS, Ardupilot, LabView, Simulink, Node.js...
